This article offers an overview of the concluding stages in the pursuit of a spot at the premier Dota 2 event scheduled for 2026. The final regional qualifiers have been ongoing, and the last three berths were at stake for two teams representing Europe and one from North America.
During the European qualifier, two teams have now confirmed their passage into the tournament alongside previous qualifiers Team Spirit and Team Vision. With their recent successes, Nigma Galaxy and Huligani have secured their positions in the biggest event of the year.
Nigma Galaxy advanced after managing to turn things around in the fourth round of the Lower Bracket. Having initially lost to Team Spirit in the Upper Bracket, the team awaited their next opponent. They were later matched up with Yellow Submarine and achieved a 2-1 result, which assured them the final ticket.
Huligani, on the other hand, battled through the entire Lower Bracket, overcoming elimination on four separate occasions. Their decisive match came against Virtus.pro, who had dropped from the Upper Bracket after a defeat to Team Vision and then faltered again in the Lower Bracket against Huligani, resulting in a 2-1 score that confirmed their entry. Despite Virtus.pro missing out for the second time on the event, Huligani celebrated their triumph.
The four European teams that qualified have now joined several invited teams from both the Europe and CIS areas. These teams include:
